Using a Polishing Wheel Brush. A polishing wheel brush is used to clean the edge of a grinding wheel. Brushes last a very long time. The polishing wheel should rotate at its normal speed and the brush should be held securely when in contact with the grinding wheel on the polisher. Please be careful when raking. We recommend using your feet to hold the brush to the ground and holding the polisher against the rake to remove compound and smooth the edges.
 When to rake a stack?
 When too much compound is applied to the polishing wheel, it can harden and burn at the edges. This reduces the effectiveness of the polishing wheel, and the brush is used to remove the compound that accumulates on the wheel. After raking, you will notice a significant reduction in the residual aluminum dust accumulated on the wheel. Afterward, apply a small amount of compound to the wheel and then resume polishing.
